Residential Waste Collection Guidelines
(Terms of Service)

  • Trash must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. CST on the scheduled pickup day.
  • Pickup days are assigned based on your service address and may change due to holidays, inclement weather, road conditions, or landfill closures.
    • Route changes will be communicated via Facebook posts and email.
  • There is no specific pickup time, as route schedules may change.
  • All trash must be bagged and securely tied.
  • Bag Size & Limits (Per 96-Gallon Poly-Cart):
    • Minimum: 13-gallon bags (up to 7 bags per week).
    • Maximum: 32-gallon bags (up to 3 bags per week).
    • Weight limit: ~20 lbs. per bag.
  • Trash must fit completely inside the provided cart with the lid closed.
  • Loose or unbagged trash may result in additional charges or may get left.
  • Trash exceeding these limits may not be collected or may incur additional fees.
  • Accepted: Household trash only.
  • Prohibited:
    • Construction debris, hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, oil, tires, car batteries, propane tanks, or any flammable materials.
    • Large bulk items (e.g., furniture, appliances) require special pickup arrangements.
      • To schedule bulk item pickup, please contact us at least 5 business days in advance. Pricing varies based on item type and location.
    • Animal waste must be double-bagged.
    • Glass must be wrapped securely to prevent injury.
  • Billing Cycle: Invoices are sent out via email or text 14 days before the due date and must be paid within 14 days.
  • Late Fees: A $10 late fee applies if payment is not received within 5 days of the due date.
  • Non-Payment Consequences:
    • Service may be placed on hold until payment is received.
    • If payment is made on a scheduled pickup day after a hold, service resumes the following week.
    • Repeated suspensions due to non-payment may result in rate increases.
    • A reinstatement fee may apply for extended service suspensions.
  • Preferred Payment Methods:
    • Auto-draft (recommended to avoid late fees).
    • Online payments through Square (debit/credit card, ACH, or Cash App), Zelle, or mailed checks.
      • Note: Mailed payments may be delayed in processing and application.
    • We do NOT accept: Payments taped to carts or given to drivers.
  • If your trash is not out when the driver arrives, it will be documented and your trash will not get picked up that week.
  • If you forgot to put your trash out, we offer a return pickup for a fee.
    • To request a return pickup, please contact us for scheduling.
    • Return service is subject to driver availability, is not guaranteed, and fees vary by location.
  • If we miss your pickup due to our error, we will service you the following day if notified promptly.
  • Ownership: Trash carts remain the property of Country Cousins Waste Services.
  • Placement: Carts must be curbside, visible, and accessible from the street.
  • Storage: Carts should be retrieved from the curb by the end of the pickup day and stored in a safe place until the next pickup day.
  • Cancellation: Billing continues while the cart is on your property. Unpaid balances must be cleared before cart retrieval, and the cart must be empty at pickup.
  • Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for carts issued by Country Cousins and full replacement fees may apply if carts are damaged, go missing, or are not retrievable upon cancelation (e.g., lost, stolen).
  • Respectful communication with our staff is expected.
  • Rudeness, threats, or inappropriate behavior may result in termination of service.
  • No refunds will be issued for services already rendered.
  • If service is canceled, any remaining balance will be applied toward final cart retrieval.
